Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)
Lateralus Labs, LLC is a Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in Sovereign Agentic Infrastructure and the governance-first protocols that make them safe to deploy. We research AI governance models and build the platforms that put them into practice, delivering AI capability to organizations without surrendering human oversight, auditability, or host sovereignty. Our flagship open-source project, g8e, is a zero-trust platform and execution architecture built for regulated, air-gapped, and mission-critical environments.
Every consequential action is proposed, not executed. AI serves, humans decide, ensuring accountability and reducing risk in critical operations. This isn't a feature, it's the architecture.
No standing privileges. No inbound listeners. No persistent sessions. Authority is fetched just-in-time, scoped narrowly, and retracted at task completion. Structural, not prompted.
As a small business, we deliver rapid response times, direct communication with technical leadership, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
Founded by a U.S. Navy veteran (IT2, E-5) with 25+ years of experience across enterprise IT, from Nike's global infrastructure to Rubrik's enterprise SaaS platform. Career spans startups to Fortune 500, with hands-on expertise in SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and building support organizations from the ground up.
We research AI governance and ship the agentic systems that put it into practice. From our flagship open-source platform to custom-built agent architectures, we bring adversarial consensus and verifiable human oversight to real-world AI operations.
GovernanceEnvelope wire contract), the g8e Gateway (central PDP and audit hub), and the g8e Operator (sovereign host-side PEP). Features include Tribunal heterogeneous consensus, zero standing trust, self-hosted execution, and local-first audit. Deploy on any host, any OS, any network, including air-gapped environments, without surrendering control. v1.0.0 is now available on GitHub: github.com/g8e-ai/g8e

The g8e Platform is built for federal, regulated, and air-gapped environments. It is a self-hosted, local-first platform, utilizing the g8e Protocol's Protobuf-first GovernanceEnvelope to bind typed operator payloads to hardware-bound intent and L1/L2/L3 governance evidence.
Operators run with no inbound listeners and no standing credentials. Authority is fetched just-in-time, cryptographically bound to hardware fingerprints. The L1 Doctrine performs on-host analysis with MITRE-mapped detectors and scrubbing patterns, ensuring raw data never leaves the host platform.
Security Architecture →Every proposal is reviewed by the Tribunal: five independent personas (Axiom, Concord, Variance, Pragma, Nemesis) operating under the Information Isolation Principle. Commands must clear L1 Technical Bedrock, L2 Consensus voting, and L3 Authorization (PHP) with FIDO2 passkeys before execution.
